He guys i just went out to get pizza and on my way over there the cel came on when i got there i checked oil and transmission fluid. both where ok i started car again and cel was gone. didn't even get out of parking lot and came back on. went back off a min later and never came back on.

What could this be? 0/2 sensor?

idling , hills , speeds or taking off at red light didnt seem to matter.

It did have a high idle when i started it at pizza house

Ok, I found the page on how to test pre-96 tours but i cant get the connector out of its socket on the right fender, the socket says eec self test on it.

I cant get the cel to come back on i let it run and rev it up you name it, it wont come back on. i did notice the cooling fan DOES not come on unless i turn a/c on. isnt it supposed to come on automatically when it reaches certain temp? it was on the a in NORMAL.

Im gonna go try and figure out what made it come on.

edit: i do hear a click around the fuel injectors and it gets louder when i rev it up

it just wont come back on, What would have caused this?

Don't worry about it until it comes on again. Then scan it and post the code.

You will have to get access to that EEC Test plug and pull your codes.

Otherwise, you're just guessing and that is about as effective as farting into the wind.

you could scan it now, the light doesn't have to be on, the computer will save the codes.

ok Good News! i went out bought and installed the new MAF

Bit of a shock though.. I got to auto zone and the guy rang it up at 72 bucks im like WOW! he said it was 120 bucks -60 core value. i said OHHHH.. i thought it was 68 bucks - 60 core because the way the web site read. he said allot of ppl do that.

Any who,

Was easy, took out fuse # 4 and # 11 to reset PCM, I took the whole intake manifold off because i have never did this and didnt want to brake anything and hoses wouldn't come off..

put everything back 5-10 min tops (un and installing)

cranked right up, was very rough for a few seconds (taking for granted that it was because PCM didnt know any settings) then cleared up and did fine no light, smooth, let it idle for 10min and turned off waited few min and tried and started right up just like new

Thanks CEG!

i figure i saved around 200 bucks doing this myself dealer would have charged 70(at least) for CEL codes then at least 120 bucks for the part and 65 labor and would have broke something in the process just for the heck of it, car being 11 years old and all...
