Ok, Im done screwing around with this trying to see if this might be a head gasket or not, I'm wanting to replace the stupid thing now. How hard would it be to replace the head gaskets on my CSVT? I'm almost positive that I have coolant seeping into the cylinders (back ones) when it sits overnite and thats causing the hard start up in the morning and white smoke. (stays under 500 rpms until i gas it to burn off what i believe is coolant based on the white smoke and somewhat sweet smell). Can I get by with just the two head gaskets and bolts? Really dont have the money for the whole head gasket set ($200+). Also, would Haynes be good enough to guide me thru this or is there somewhere else i can look for help? There is no post up on here for it but looking at the UIM/LIM write up with pics, it appears that if I take the UIM off, I can access the heads the best and go from there? Any suggestions or am I in the right direction?

Do a compression test BEFORE all that. It would suck to rip it all up and that not be it. While the sympotoms sound like that, someone just posted about a similar problem, and it turns out it was just condensation. Good luck,
Scott

Do it right or don't do it. You are going to need more gaskets than just the head gaskets (valve cover, spark plug tube seals, UIM/LIM, etc)

I agree... but you may be able to buy the important gaskets seperate instead of the whole engine gasket and seal kit. I know they put a whole lot of junk in my kit that I didn't need or use. The Haynes will defiently help, but it does take some decent mechanical skill, i.e. a friend machanic or something! The Haynes is not clear in some parts of the repair. Good luck and make sure to give yourself plenty of time to do it right!
