I drove a 04 automatic today. Granted the newer ones have 50hp more and this was an auto, it still just wasn't what I expected. Just doesn't feel like 400hp. I don't know exactly how to describe it, but the car just wasn't 'inspiring'. And the auto definitely sucks, I've driven family cars that would put you in a better gear than it would. We took it out on the highway and my buddy waxed it in his srt4.

i considered GTOs but then decided i definitely wanted a vert this time around. the prices of the GTOs are unbeatable. definitely a worthy car

I don't see how you all got such poor mileage with your SVT Contours! I never had a tank under 20mpg, and usually got at least 23 even in stop and go driving.

I was just going through this thread and was surprised to see that too. 12MPG? I got better than that the day I used half a tank at the track

I imagine you test drove a GTO as well before getting your Cobra. How does the drive/feeling of the two compare?

I wonder what kind of mileage we get at 140...

I can say I got 20 mpg at a pretty steady 110-120 in Colorado.
