Most of those people have died by their own hands. Life is not precious to many of them, not even their own.

North Korea is contained in their area with a major country like China who can kick their ass, Russia, and US Backed S. Korea and Japan. Korea is Cold War stuff and while it is contained in this way we can handle other fires. This is cold calculations, not passion driven. Anyway, as long as N. Korea stays put and only uses rhetoric, we shouldn't go invading them anyway right? If we did more you'd be the first to say we had no right....

As far as Iraq, many people are dying but it isn't for nothing. THere is a cause and I guarantee you that give a bit more time the Freedom that is taking over there will never be contained and even if we weren't there people who are used to spilling blood will be willing to spill a little more to insure their continued freedom. The situation is highly psychological and you have to give time for that to work. Wait until the youth that are now free, grow up to young adults. People never really knowing the Tyranny of Saddam an not willing to accept it get into positions of leadership. THEN you'll see the fruits of our labors. Right now the current adults/leaders have been through multiple wars and oppression. THey lived with it and can likely go back to living it just to get some peace. No hard to understand but we/they must work not for themselves but for their children to have a chance. You know freedom isn't free...not for people in the 'Real' world anyway, maybe for the far people on the radical Left it is.

Iran. They took our hostages in 79-80. They've been peddling Terrorism since the early 70s. They have been Anti US long before we bombed any place. NOT because of a bombing, but because our cultural influence and trade influence reach to every part of the globe. Trade changes people. It brings ideas. These ideas of the western culture will ALWAYS war with traditional Shia'ite and Sunni values. There is NO compromise when a Father of the old ways believes his daughter should wear all black and be demure and he finds she bought a pair of tight Levis and wants to go hang out Downtown. This is the kind of conflict we are really facing. The television with Alcohol, Sex and Nudity, Divorce, all these things that they look at that are completely against their values are what drive the anger even deeper without any military action on our part.

So you and many other are greatly oversimplifying this. America isn't wrong or right, the situation is just evolving this way to put us at this historical crux. We just have to deal the cards we've been dealt.
If you don't want a fight, then you must be prepared to give up everything dear to you.
Give up your easy life, your hollywood movies with sex, drugs, unrestrained freedom, etc. Give up the way of life because that is what many people see you have and quite a few want to emulate. On the other hand that is also what many people don't want.
