I buy used tires all the time.
For the money they can't be beat. You may not always get matching sets, but if you seen the 2 michelin x1's and 2 bfg's with bout 85% tred, installed and balanced for $140 for the set... i think you might reconsider used tire buys.
I know there are plenty of you out there who may not agree with me, but if money's an issue (and it always is) you just can't go wrong.
