I just got both my LCA's and outer tie rods done last weekend, the LCA's came from Ford with the ball joint stamped on (they used to have a 3 bolt arragement and were sold seperatly). I went to Total Suspension (in Scarborough) and we got the entire job done in 1 hour.

If your tour has high Km's I'd highly suggest getting them replaced, my CSVT just rolled over 190K prior to the work being done and there was a huge improvement in steering and feel afterwards.

Have done some looking into the control arm thing and it sounds like a monster PITA to do. As I am undoubtedly the worlds worst mechanic, I would have to pay someone else to do it, and even my mechanic would not be cheap for a job like that.
You would think that Ford would have put some sort of quick release hardware, like on the wheels of bikes or something, on the subframe, cause it seems like anytime you have to do something more serious, you have to drop the damn thing!

They are really not that hard. I would cut out the bolts that are there currently, as you want to replace those anyway. There is one bolt on each side that from factory you need to flip, but it's nothing do to.

If you can do your struts or hubs, you can do the control arms... just get it aligned afterwords.

Where you happy with Total Suspension? I went there when I had my suspension re-done and was very happy with their work.

Yeh it is all one piece. I have done mine once a long time ago figure I am probably due again.
