I think this has all gotten out of hand. Mr. Andy is clearly frustrated with the maintainence issues that came with his particular CSVT. The majority of other CSVT owners who responded have already stated that, yes, there are problems with the car, but compared to a BMW those problems are considerably less expensive to deal with. Now I do agree that the typical newer BMW is quite the machine, but it isn't worth being nasty to your peers for. Besides, comparing a BMW to a CSVT is like comparing a Nestle Crunch to Bavarian chocolate. Sure, the Bavarian chocolate is indeed the finer sweet, but it is going to cost you many, MANY times what the Crunch bar will. My advice is this: If you are really set on getting a Bimmer, get it. If it is an enlightening experience, tell us about it. We won't fault you for that. In fact, most of us would commend you for getting such a nice ride, but the rest of us have to deal with what we've got, and most of us don't have BMWs. I'm sure this situation can be settled without degrading other people for their opinions, just as I'm sure you never truly meant to get ugly with the people on this site in the first place. Let's try not to let our tempers flare up again alright?

It is so refreshing to get a rational response. I think you are right on even with your criticsm towards me. I come on here to have some fun and learn. I don't take this stuff as serious as some on these guys. As for DanMyers dissertation; I don't have the time or inclination to read that wordy nonsense. He needs to get a sense of humor and more importantly a life! See my latest view of my car here:
