Or, maybe you should have structured your poll this way:

"No bashing intended, but here is my serious poll:

1. I hate my SVTC.

2. I really hate my SVTC.

3. No, really, I hate my SVTC so much I want to drive it over a cliff with me in it."

How about this option which does apply to me:

I love my CSVT so much that I put up with so much $hitty service and unreliablility that I am starting to doubut my sanity!

You ever been with a girl that's sooo hot, so sexy that you put up with the worse $hit just to hit it? That's me and my CSVT! That [censored] feels sooo good that I have been putting up with crap all along. I need a "woman" that I can settle down with now....and her initials may just happen to be BMW ;-)

Pull the pineapple out of your skull.

"the rest of us expect a great product regardless of what it costs.."

I do not expect my Ford to cost as much as a BMW.
You should not either.
Yet YOU would hold a $5K to $10K used car to some lofty standards you expect of a $15K to $30K used car "regardless of what it costs." And YOU think that's fair.

But on top of that, an OVERPRICED BMW still costs BUCKETS-O-CASH to maintain. YOU overlook that too.

So here YOU are, complaining about the cost of maintaining a car that COSTS LESS to keep up than the one you're comparing it to?

Good luck finding a BMW which is cheap to maintain, cheap to repair, cheap for parts, cheap for service, cheap to mod. Riiiight.

BTW, the car I traded in to get my CSVT was a Toyota. When I bought my CSVT, Toyota had NOTHING similar to what I was looking for. Neither did VW. Neither did BMW. Neither did Honda. Neither did Nissan. Neither did Subaru. Neither did Saab. Need I go on? To YOU, that means I wore blinders. You must enjoy being an ass, as YOU seem to insist on it.

You love your csvt so much, yet YOU are on this crusade, YOU bought the warranty, YOU picked the stealership to go to, YOU got shafted by a stealership, YOU didn't do your homework to keep from getting ripped off, YOU have a LACK of perspective... Yep, that YOU have ALL these issues is all FORD'S fault, Mr. Blinders-on.

Now tell us how fair and rational you're being about all this, and we'll believe you. <--- Look! There's MORE HUMOR!!

I really don't have time to waste on you dude. My second car is a 2001 Nissan Sentra (super reliable) and it costs less than my SVT so obviously you don't have to pay tons of $$ to get rliability moron! Take a minute to re-read you post and it will be clear who is irrational.

I agree. In the sports sedan category the used CSVT is one of the best bang for your buck but the reliability issues do get tiring, especially with all the options on the market now. I bought the car becaue of the well balanced performance and low cost but I am disappointed with the low reliability. The resale is not that great so I am not even that motivated to sell it. It may just continue to be my pet project while another car does most of the daily commute. I tell you I used to take my Sentra for granted but my CSVT made me look at it in a different light. There is something endearing about a car that just starts everytime and goes and goes and......
I don't think I have been able to put 10K consecutive miles on the CSVT without a problem!

I just want to add that my CSVT is one of the best examples of the car out there with only 46K miles. All of the problems that I have are well documented and not attributed to hard driving...for god sakes I wish it can go without issues long enough for me to take it for a good spin. ;-)

My contours are used, so I never needed Ford.

Though I've also never need ANY shop.

When my mom had her escort and taurus our ford dealer's service sucked. They may be better now, but probably not by much.

A dealer about 30 minutes from here however is very good. I emailed them once at midnight and had a reply 15 minutes later stating that they could not help me but gave me the name of two places to contact that possibly could.

I just want to add that you are living in a dreamworld and making "the car"(as a generalized whole) seem terrible when, in fact it is YOUR CAR that is terrible (from what you say).

My car had 125000 miles on it, and the ONLY thing it ever did was have an alternator go out. I sold it and will lay my hand down that its able to go another good bit with the same maintenance performed that I did.

the one I have now has 63xxx on the body and is in near FLAWLESS condition, inside and out. Absolutely unmatch care was placed on this car and it shows. If your car is in such bad shape you either:

A) got a lemon and shouldn't be comparing "SVT" reliability using that as an example, period.

OR

B) don't maintain your vehicle and it is showing.

So.. either one means that you are showing that you probably shouldn't be passing judgement on the car platform or comparing it to ANYTHING other than itself as it was when you got it (if it was maintained then, either)

regardless of which.. you should probably stop talking now.

Another addicted moron to deal with! Look at the results of the poll you bafoon and you will see who is living in a dream world. Your fellow contour owners themselves have voted here. I can only assume you idiots don't drive enough cars to make a sound judgement on reliability or even performance.
