Not sure if anyone knows these 2 albums, but certainly worth a look.

Greatest hits (2 discs)
Lost Dogs (2 discs)

Also check this out, I had posted about 2-3 months ago about how PJ releases all their shows on disc immediatley (sp?) after every show for fan club members. They also release a disc for regular folk about a month after.

The show(s) or discs to get are the Mansfield, MA show(s) from July 2003, the 2nd, 3rd, and the 11th.

They played approx, 99 songs with 98 of them being different, they played Yellowledbetter twice. You can every song they ever recorded plus a few covers. They even played an acoustic set on the 3rd night before the opening band.

Quote:

Most of you already know I am a HUGE Pearl Jam fan. I do not know of any other band in the WORLD that does what they do. I was using RipCast to listen to Do the Evolution radio, a pure PJ staition, PJ 24/7 baby. Well the started the Boston show from July of 2003. Now I know most of you are look, "Big Deal". Well you will see. They did something that I have never seen before or since, and this includes all the huge bands like the Stone, Metallica, Grateful Dead, and probably even the Beatles. They played 3 shows, most of the time they play 2 shows per city, they played the 2nd, 3rd, and cam back on the 11th.

So you what is the purpose of this post Bill! Well what they did was play EVERY song they have ever played or had on the released albums. They wanted to play 105 different songs, but I think it ended up at 98 and they played Yellow Ledbetter twice, the only song they did play twice.

Now understand that PJ releases EVERY show they play, themselves, not a crappy bootleg. The songs are taking straight from the sound board, mixed and released. You can even pay to listen to all the current North American tour LIVE.

Here is a good link to read about it.

You obvioulsy never listen to Pearl Jam. You probably listened to a few songs, but never delved into the depths of the great music they make, and a lot of their best stuff was never on the radio or even there commercial releases.

No offense you personally, Bill, but I think PJ sounds like ass on all of their songs. I just can't stand Eddie Vedder.

To each is own. I will admit I can not understand everything. But there music is so good. If you remove the vocals and concentrate on the music you can see how good these guys really are.

That's why I listen to them so much, the music gets me going. And there acoustic stuff is great. They have some very nice ballads, which I think is where Eddie sounds his best.

Plus, they are not a commercial style band, they do tons of benefits, donations, among other things. With 8 albums released, they only have 4-5 music videos. There are groups today that have 6-7 videos per album. All they do it tour and make albums.

Also, you should reserve any comments until you have seen them live, you have a new found appreciation for them.

I love Pearl Jam, and I'm pumped. It's okay Bill, don't listen to them; they just don't get it

I love that people get so tightened up when someone doesn't like their bands that they list reasons why other people should like them. Music is music, there's no accounting for what someone will and won't like (i.e. I'm a diehard metal head, and Slayer and Pantera both put me to sleep). I say, just go with the flow.
