Yes some best buy installers know their stuff, but the problem is the fact that best buy is more likely to hire stupid people who don't know anything. A good audio shop counts on referrals and does custom work that requires good employees. Best buy does nothing but instal decks, speakers, amps, and subs if they are in a prefabricated box. You probably have less of a chance running into problems by going to a smaller shop that takes pride in their work. My first rule includes that the shop must have a photo album. I want to see pictures of different installs, and if they are that good they will be proud to show off their work.
