or even popular science, i got them in highschool for projects and alot of stuff has come true in the past 10 or so years.
I have a MacUser magazine from 1994 that celebrated their tenth anniversary with a prediction of what would come in the year 2004. Some of their ideas were slightly off (to paraphrase, "the 2 gigabyte hard drives will make the 128K Mac's seem Lilliputian in comparison"), but several out-of-the-blue remarks were eerily accurate - for example, the prediction that Apple would shorten the name from Macintosh to Mac.
I can only imagine articles from more scientific magazines predicting specific technology of the future.
