I had to buy a new headlight switch.. the one that I bought from Todras was messed up and made everything work backwards... I had Motorcraft deliver me a brand new one for under 22.00 which cured all those probs!

I played around with the adjustments on the new lights and I finally got them adjusted better... still not great but pretty decent as the car is slammed and lower than stock so I have to take that into consideration.

Got the call from the mechanic who is replacing the frozen LH ebrake cable -- apparently the car is running lean and none of the o2sensors are doing their job.. he wants me to replace them all.. We gutted the cats and built MIL eliminators.. anyone think that bad gas (2years old) plus 2 gallons of 100 Low Lead could just be the culprit? I finally added 11 gallons of Premimum yesterday before work.

Past owner melted one o2 sensor and a portion of the wiring but we spliced in one from a 00 Coug I bought as a donor..

thoughts from anyone on this?

Just an update

Cleaned both the TB & ERG, replaced TB gasket and retested it
and only pulled codes for the shot o2sensor.

Where is the upper o2sensors on the contour?
My is a 2.5L Duratec V6 engine.
on most GM cars..the o2sensor was right under the battey housing

I'll like to do this myself, since it cost $450 to have it done at a Ford Dealership

Thanks...any Ideas how much a new TB gasket cost.
Most of the codes come from the O2 Sensor ( bank 2 ) being shot

two bucks
