I�ve read in Navy history books that in the early Navy they tricked drunken men into coming aboard. When the ship was underway the next day it was too late so the men had unintentionally joined the Navy. Living conditions on board a ship were not very good back then.
One of the Navy's worse problem now is athlete�s foot. The water backs up in the showers so shower shoes don�t help.
