As for you claim's of boot camp being harder...well, I highly doubt that. HOwever, being an Intel weenie, you might be right on your secondary being tougher.....
A few highlights:
All other bivouacs were canceled due to below freezing temperatue and snow. We charged ahead and camped in snow in [censored] trainee gear inlcuding pup-tents.
Finished range training early one day, so they made us walk back 8-miles in full gear whit it was raining/slushy snow. Then proceeded to throw CS gas at us
Shaved my head bald the day beofe AIT graduation
Our platoon won a competition and were treated to 15-minutes at the shopette to grab a coke & candy bar. Then as we marched back to our barracks we were ordered into PT gear and ran a 4-mile Indian run.
For those who scored under 250 on their PT tests (max 300) were not allowed their Sunday phone call home.

Well, my MOS was decided by me having stipulations on my enlistemnt: Maximum 3yr term with the Army College fund. I only had 3-options with those terms yet because of my GT score, all 212 jobs were available to me if I chose to give up my College fund and enlist longer. I sucked it up and went into a Combat MOS and walked with $35K of college money.
I put that College money to good use and am coming up on my 6th year out of University.
Yeah, that sounds like your basic Marine Corps boot camp......doesn't sound like anything extra ordinary.
You guys got a phone call EVERY sunday? Try two phone calls home during the 13 weeks of basic.
