To the dude calling me out - LMAO...sheltered.

Son, I guarantee I've been to places you couldn't even speel, with a dictionary at hand! In case you don't know I'm 30, Australian (of European background) and I travel a hell of a lot with my work as well as for my own pleisure. Not to whip out my e-dick, but here is a list of countries I have visited AND have been to nightlubs in:
Australia (obviously)
England
Croatia
Serbia
Greece
Germany
Holland
Ukraine
Malaysia
Japan
Singapore

Techno reigns supreme in all these places, whether you like it or not.

Although rap may be popular with a lot of white "kids" of the younger age...you will find that as peole get older and more wise, they realise the messages that rap puts forward are BS. And then some of those people shy away from rap and towards other genres like altenrative or techno. I myself, love both.

Case in point: I went to a Pauyl Van Dyk concert last night in Detroit and the crowds was predominantly of a mid 20's and up crowd.

Most the white rap listenenrs are HS and up to their 20's until they have that epiphany which snaps them out the rap-phase. Sure a lot of people still listen to rap, but I can guarantee that of a poll of the older (25+) US population you will find that the rap listneing crowd is probably even beat by country and alternative!

You can lull yourself into believing that Rap/ Hip-Hop is king, but that may only be in your little world. Take a trip some time to Europe, Australia, Asia and you'll realise that rap doesn't penetrate very far into these cultures - in fact it's often viewed of as comical due to the apparent shallowness of the messages that rap portrays.
