though not all, there are some very talented guys out there. i still prefer to listen to old school stuff. luckily, i have almost everything i like on cd. they just brought back a radio station here in LA that was closed back when i was a kid. they play mostly old school rap and only some, decent new school stuff. awesome station (KDAY)but it doesnt come in to strong in my part of town
lets not forget that some of the old schoolers are still around and are still making music that doesnt consist of [censored], killing and cussing like LL Cool J, De La Soul, Beastie Boys, Queen Latifah and some others im probably not thinking of right now. didnt Public Enemy somewhat recently release something?
i listen to rock/alternative music too, equally if not moreso. and they also have their idiots who give the music a bad name. usually from drug usage but also from tools like Marlyn Manson.
