And the target audience is typically a bunch of ignorant people. There aren't too many educated, self-respecting people who listen to that kind of music. And the videos I've seen, when flipping through the channels, are not ones in clubs, but outside der cribs pimpin der rides, wif hoes bunch dat booty etc....but whatever, IMO, its garbage.

BTW, pretty much the only rap I listen to is a decade old or older. People Under The Stairs is the only exception I can think of.

so because i enjoy the music, i am ignorant and uneducated? that statement is laughable at best. even videos not based in the clubs are portraying the same image. lavishness and fun. and that's what it comes down to is image. what is the music trying to show you and is it achieving that goal. for their target audience (the ignorant and uneducated people  ) it is achieving it's goal with unimaginable success.
but what do i know? i'm just ignorant and uneducated.

BTW, I like some rap too... but I like the songs that have better backgrounds / beats then the ones that are just vulgar.

Anyone who has been around since the inception of rap knows that songs like this have been made many times over. It's nothing new.
Then again, maybe it's new to those who only listen to the commercialize version of hiphop.
