well yeah i know the amount of money involved, but that wasnt my point... it would be amazing if someone had the drive to do such a thing

Indeed... for enough $$ anything is possible. But for as much money as it would take to convert a Contour to RWD, you'd be better off buying a more suitable project car.

The same could be said for that Escort. In all reality, if someone already has a shop like his and access to a decent salvage yard, all it'd take is parts from an Xtype and/or an Escape. BTW, I've been reading that post over and over on MEG for the past week

Oh yeah! It's got me thinking big time, and one reason I've been trying to get into a new shop! I bet the Escort guy has some decent salvage yard connections with some of the parts he comes across. Very cool post, I'm impressed with it! The RWD Mondy is cool too, but I lost some respect for the guys when I saw the car resting on scafolding and 2X4's
