Midwest housing market is slow, but there are still a lot of people refinacing. There are the people that still haven't refinanced and are paying 8+ percent interest rate and there are a lot of people who are in ARMs and need to lock in a fixed rate.
BTW, I plan to move this year and will need a new mortgate. I'll contact you when I'm ready. Can you state which company you work for?
