Congrats on the new job!! I'm a branch manager of mortgage company and it's definitely an exciting line of work. I'm laughing to myself right now at the comment about it being laid back. When you get a pipeline together, it will be anything but laid back and quite frankly can be extremely stressful. The learning is very large and it will probably take a while before you feel comfortable but you just have to take it seriously and make the effort to learn about the products that are available. If you get the hang of it and you can build a consistent pipeline, I think you'll be happy with the return. Good luck and if you ever have any questions, please feel free to drop me a PM.
