What kind of vacuum pump did you use?
Are you really getting 33 degrees measured at the center vents?

Yep checked twice 32.7

its a old Dayton i think.. its a oldie.. It didn't really need to be pumped when i put it on.. it had just over 10 pounds and it still had 134a in it when i took old part out so i figured there couldn't be any water in it.. put 2cans of 134a in her and was like ice immediately.. It hurts to hold your hand on it for very long.. i dont ever remember it being this cold... i may have to add another can when it gets really hot here its running a little low according to the sticker on the hood it says 1.12lbs, or .78 kg i think i put about .70 in it,it was like 50F. this afternoon, But we'll see.

You can see it here : http://www.contour.org/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=aesthetics&Number=1181449&page=0

Not to sound like a know it all, but to properly charge a system, pulling a good vacuum with the pump is important. If any thing, it will let you know if you have a leak in the system, observing a gauge set, before you add the 134A.
Here's a link to read.

Leaks? NEVER! lol j/k

thanks for the info, the pump ran for at least 10 min..
i had to rig up some hoses to fill with..

It must not be leaking i just went out and let it run for a few min. and as soon as i flipped the switch is was on (believe me it was on my hand is still covered in ice lol..)

that is the coldest a/c i have ever felt of, my 04 suburban isnt near that cold.. i dont ever remember owning a car with it that cold! It hurts its so cold AHH..

shes out there running like a charm the only thing is the stupid timing belt flaps up against the cover.. i better look at changing that soon. do any of you know where i could find a How-to type article on this model car? i looked a changing a while back but i couldnt find one of the marks for the timing so i left it alone.
