If you are saying that the new cap is not the the correct replacement for the tank, I don't know what good that would do. In fact, it might be worse if the coolant tank is not able to hold pressure due to the cap neck not being long enough for the tank to block the hole for the hose (to hold pressure). Once again, I would suggest using the cap which came with the used tank.
the cap that came with the tank that Todras sold me is the same type of cap that I bought, the cap with the longer neck is on my old tank that busted(the cap itself busted). I had assumed the cap that was on the tank that todras sold me was the correct cap and when NAPA sold me the same cap i figured it was correct. Just want to know if the hisssing should be there or not.
