Probably a stupid question....but i herd that neon lights were illegal when they pulsate or go with the music while you are driving. Is it illegal to have them on while driving when they are at a steady glow? thanks

This is a state-specific law, and I suggest you pull up your specific states statutes on exterior lighting and accessories from the internet. a simple search on google for "[your state] automobile lighting law" may do the trick

yea...sorry i was talking about the interior lights... i have been looking but im having trouble finding the laws for interior neon lights in the state of MA. if anyone knows off hand please let me know. thanks

I jsut drive with em on if i got em, the worst they can do is tell you to remove them. but as far as i know out here it's no visable tubes above the window level.

I know of one incident that we (5 cruisers) pulled over someone for having a pulsing blue neon on their front dash. The person that called it in was the off duty Fire Chief, who though this guy was trying to impersonate a cop. I'd say, if it pulses, don't leave it on while driving.

I once got pulled over for having a black light tube on in my old Contour. I was trying to read something right quick when the cop pulled out of a street. I turned it off, he pulled me over, and told me that I shouldn't drive with it on anymore.
