What should I use to fill in a gouge at the lower lip of the mirko. It is pretty deep, just starting to dig into the fiberglass portion. So far I've been told fiberglass patches, lightweight body filler, and fiberglass reinforced body filler. Which one?

any of those will work, if they are just scratches the easiest way would be the light weight body filler, then next the next option I would used fiberglass reinforced filler, then final option fiberglass patch.
