I bought my 94 Ford Probe se MTX for $1000 (not sure how cheap you are lookin) and have had no problems with it at all. I did a complete tune up and changed fluids. The only thing that I had to replace was the exhaust.
Plus one thing that I have noticed is that parts for this car are fairly cheap, I guess thats because its shares the same platform with the Mazda MX-6 & 626.
