I had a 99 LX too. That thing purred like a kitten for a long time, and was relatively problem-free. It was running so good, I never bothered to inspect the timing belt. Whoops. It broke at 130000 miles, and I got the Subaru. Word to wise to those with zetecs around 100000 miles, get your timing belt inspected!

Jeez, I never checked KBB on this. All the vehicles on autotrader in my area are WAY higher than that.. Cheapest V6/MAN is a '99/118k/$1k and the next up being a 96/100k/$2.5k.. Maybe I can get them to put the prices down on them.. Is there much of a difference between mileage on V6/MAN & I4/MAN? I don't think I'm going to go with the SVT, since I'm sure mileage would be worse and I don't think I would really need that extra HP..

I'm not sure of the mileage on the I4 MTX but I do know that there is relatively no difference between the I4 Auto and the V6 MTX

Anyone have some mileages on the cars? Also, what is MTX and ATX? The engines?

The V6 is Duratex and the I4 is Zetec.
From what I remember KBB prices contours fairly low. I've seen a lot of them as hit in miss (some are excellent condition and others break down all the time).
If you can I'd save up for an SVT. My CSVT is my first car and I absolutly love it

Does anyone know if you can replace regular rearseats with the 60/40s? I imagine you'd have to possible cut out some of the part that goes into the trunk? Is this possible? I don't think I'll be able to save up for an SVT, but I'll see. I'm mostly saving up all the money, since both parents are unemployed right now and my dad's getting a knee replaced.... Ah well.

With the proper bracketry from the donor car, 60/40 split is a relatively easy swap.. no cutting that I remember..
The center seatbelt bracket under the rear dash needs to be modded in some fashion, though I forget exactly the depth of modification.. simple, though, I remember that.

Well, if it would be a simple swap than I'm not worrying about if there are 60/40 folding rear seats anymore. Anyone have some gas mileages they get with their 'contique'?
