I'm still waiting for my amp to come though... Kicker does recommend a box that ranges from 3-6 cubic feet ported depending on the car application. For a tuner car (which would be me in this situation) they recommend a 3 cubic foot ported box and for an SUV (A car addicted to oil) they recommed a 6 cubic foot box. The manual is pretty simple and gives thier insight on sealed and ported. What's the break in time on a sub usually????? (Steeda's gonna have me breaking spl records with this box!!!) The solo X has deep bass that surprises you when the song comes on. I am only playing it at half level with the low frequencies EQ'd very low and it still rumbles like crazy!!!!
