As for the rest of you, this is turning into a flame war fast. BEWARE OF BANNING!

For Twin, if your contour has been beaten into the ground, it is time to let her go and RIP. Don't whine to us with your complaits on a 11 year old car that has well served its purpose.

If you spent thousands of dollars to repair your car,for it to continue breaking, while have not even owned the car for an entire year yet nor put even 40 000km on it yet, wouldn't you be a little upset and annoyed too? I have all the right I want to complain, because it's my car,my money and my problem. Financially,it is not worth it to continue repairing the car,but I am stuck in a situation where I cannot buy a new vehicle until I find out what is happening at work, whether I am getting laid off due to a union take over,or hired full time, rather than being on contract. Last thing I want to do is buy a new vehicle an dhave payments, then get laid off and have no way to pay for it. Right now,the Contour costs me gas,oil changes and insurance payments, and debts from repairs which are just about paid off now. It would actually be a better idea to take the car off the road and drive my '95 Zetec MTX instead, but that car needs to be safety checked and emission tested, and needs a new cv shaft and tires. The tires can be swapped from my V6,as can the cv shaft(s),but I don't have the tools or time to swap the cv shafts and I don't want to spend the money it will cost for a safety, emission test and swapping the cv shaft, then cancelling my insurance on the V6 and insuring the Zetec, which will raise my monthly rate.

I could spend my $4000 fixing my Duratec,$3000 for a paintjob, and the $1000 left over for brake rotors,EGR valve, look into the tranny problem and spend the rest on premium air for my snow tires.
