Is there a how-to for making PCV Oil seperators? (yes, I searched for that exact phrase)

I was looking at some cheap Deutche gas filters at AZ (clear plastic) and was wondering how'd they work.

Any thoughts?

I think that you'll find more if you spell separator correctly in the search engine.

And on that note, are the camble hauffsfeld (no idea how to spell that) ones from wally world glass or plastic? Saw some there the other day but couldnt tell.

Plastic seems ideal, but I dont really know what the others are made of so I dunno.

I've seen people use the water/air separators+filters for air compressors. They're polycarbonate though... and there's a warning sticker on them saying that oil will damage the poly.

Steeda's oil/air separator is the same air compressor filter that can be found at Home Depot... but Home Depots is $12 and Steedas is $60.

The warning is there because the oil will discolor and eventually soften the plastic and the plastic under 100-135 psi. The PCV system is not so don't worry about it.

well it seems the steeda one comes with hose and all the connections that you need, so it might be worth alittle bit more, although the Home Depot one has me interested now.

I did make a pvc one but it is alittle big, and the fittings I used are to large. maybe I will use that one on my other car and get the Home Depot one for the contour, hmmm

the hose and fittings shouldnt cost you more than $10 at the most.
so its definitly cheaper to do it yourself.

You can get a compressor separator for about $10. Hose fittings are maybe $1 each & you need 2. So say maybe $15 vs $60 + shipping. Wonder what the profit margin is on putting the STEEDA name on it??? Exactly...

Hey. I will make them and sell them for $55. I'll even print STEEDA on it if you want.
