Just checking to see what people are thinking about the SD legislature stepping up and taking a swing at abortion so quickly to the nominations of some conservative justices to the supreme court.
My thoughts are that it might actually work in favor of the prochoice movement as Roe v Wade is slowly being "bled out" and was in danger of just simply being a paper tiger. I think that this will definetly bring the whole issue the forefront and will either once and for all decide it or bring it back to the states where before R v W, it was slowly gathering legality anyway, i.e. both Reagan and Rockfeller had signed off on pro abortion bills while governor. I think it'll be rather interesting anyways but wonder what pro lifer's think about SD doing this and whether or not it actually jeopardizes either movement or not.
