I'd like to do mods, but I'm not an auto expert(or anything close) - I just like to drive fast everywhere. So I need a trustworthy SVT knowledgable shop, I'm not sure S&C FORD is where I should go for mods to their car. Who can I trust to not rip me off, AND do good work?

I'd like to start with performance stuff nothing too expensive yet - i'm new at this. I'd also like my car to sound louder, is there a full car-care shop that you know of or SVT 'specialist' in the Bay Area? Thanks in advance for any info.

I don't know any in SF. sorry but a place like Midas could do exhaust stuff. I had me resonator removed from there. No problems and it took only 20 minutes. You might want to call up some performance shops and see what their prices are. Performance shops can sometimes be more expensive than a regular shop. Its tough to find a Ford Contour knowledgable performance shop as our cars are not the most common car to do mods on. If you did find one it would be a rare find and would be worth sharing with all of us, haha.

You can check out Mirko racing. They are in Morgan Hill. They have aftermarket stuff for Contours as well. Haven't tried them yet but they are very knowledgable on the Tour.

408-666-6618 or send email to mirkocar@garlic.com.

Also, their address is:
195C San Pedro Ave #10
Morgan Hill, CA

if you want a ford dealer, try to find one that takes special care for svt customers. im unaware of any in sf, but if you search the ford dealers in sf im sure youll find a couple that do. down on the peninsula, it looks like towne ford is a knowledgeable svt dealer. one day passing by i even say a harley-davidson edition f150 lighting on display there!!! there are only like 500 of those.

I have been to a few speed shops in the bay area, and none of them know anything about the contour. Your best bet would be to show up to the contour meets, and talk to people who have done mods that you want.
I believe that there is a meet coming up soon?

Hell yeah theres a meet comin up soon. March 11th Milipitas again.
If you wanna hear loud, come to the meet. If you wanna see lowered cars, come to the meet.
If you wanna see cool interiors, come to the meet.
If you wanna have fun, come to the meet.

Most importantly, come to the meet

Anyways, most of the mods that can be done to the car can be done by specialized shops. Get it dropped at Big-O, exhaust put on at Midas. There's also a ****load of info on this site. Ask a question, get an answer.
There isn't much if anything when it comes to engine work. Everything is bolt on.

So yeah, ask away.

Stinger: Are those pics in your gallery up to date. I.E. Your H&R springs. Somebody asked for a pic comparison of the Eibach's and H&R's. But your car doesn't look like the typical nose down rear up look.
