Well... if it was improperly imported in the US (i.e. they didn't change stuff to DOT/NTHSA specs), then they had to be destroyed so no parts could be used... or exported out of the country.

I've been reading up on this stuff for a bit now... trying to find some kind of loophole that will let me import a "non-conforming" euro spec car that can't be converted.
