You know I've seen this topic before and everyone always gets in saying blah blah blah to much work just go buy an AWD car.
Whatever happen to customizing? He's inquiring about whether it's physically possible. Sounds like he has a few posts here pointing in the right direction. If someone wants to do this think about how sweet that would be.
It would be similar to the guy who took a Corvette C5 chasis and powertrain and retro fitted it to his 67 Camaro. Sure it cost him loads of money (I recall $56k when everything was said and done), but he has the sweetest 67 Camaro I've ever seen (as far as being modernized).
If the guy or anyone else for that matter is willing to invest the time and money then go right ahead. The project and idea is sweet and I'm sure it can be completed seeing how a few Mondeo's had the option. I realize it has a slightly different platform, but the components are there to be retro fitted, which is half the battle in my opinion.
