I have been trying to locate an 88�°C (190�°F) thermostat for this vehicle - reason - when I replaced the thermostat in it recently, it was an 88�° version I took out, however the replacement was 92�°C (195�°F). When I fixed the problem with the car - which was actually a faulty temperature sending unit - I now find that the needle is running about 3/4 the way up the temperature gauge - sure wish I'd kept that old 88�° thermostat! Every parts provider I have tried stocks 195�° or 180�° (too cool) thermostats. Even at RockAuto the proper Motorcraft part RT1150 (ford no. F8RZ8575CA) says its a 190�°F version on the listing, but when I received this part, it is stamped 92�°C!! Anyone know where to go to get the 88degree version?
