that is something I have yet to understand...that truck could be about 6" lower and have the exact same amount of ground clearance. those huge tires are about the only thing upping the clearance on that truck.
but whatever, I'd take a lowered car with some nice stiff suspension over that anyday.
do you not see how close the tires are to the fender wells? if the truck was any lower than when the suspension flexs, the tires would murder the fenders.
oh, so thats what the 6" lift is for...to prevent rubbing. 
i always thought it was for those parking lot speed bumps.
