iirc she is half columbian and half lebanese(sp?). the hip shaking all of us guys
over comes from belly dancing lessons as a kid. mostly she is famous in the latin music circles but she had also done a little work in english. if i had to narrow her down to a category then i would call it english language latin music. i have her first english album and i like it. not too long ago, last year i think, she came out with another enlish album of which i have only heard one song. as previously stated, the biggest difference between shakira and most of the top 40 world is that she actually has talent.
