I have the KKM intake adapter and filter it comes with. Filter is pretty ragged so I was gonna throw my filter on from my zetec, but found out the MAF adapter is bigger than 3". So what size filter opening do I need?
Btw, I did the TH fix today, worked really good.

Yeap.
I've seen what's recommended, didn't no it was just for the KKM adapter size. I always figured it was 3".

The FAQ/Sticky and the posts I turned up in search did not clearly say that the RU-3530 would fit the KKM. It just says most popular open air filter. I did not know if other MAF adapters were different sizes or what. How the heck would I know that? Sorry I want to be sure of something before I drop money on it.

You have the KKM - measure it.
FAQ and Search would show www.ajusa.com being the most common place to buy it and shows the RU-3530's dimensions.
Not "extra BS", common sense.

I know where to buy filters, I wasn't asking that.
If I didn't receive an answer, of course I would measure it, but even then I still wouldn't be sure of it.
Common sense would be to just not post if you don't want to answer it.
Gee. What the heck do we even have the forums for since it is, as you pointed out, possible to figure everything out yourself? No one should ask any questions.
