*Sorry for the double post*
I am just trying to figure out exactly what this problem is, without going to ford for another diagnostic. I've got a 4 day weekend and i need to fix this asap.

What happens is: The car starts off fine, runs fine. When i have to brake however, and come to a stop, about 45% of the time the rpms will drop very low, or it will completely stall.
Doing this more and more from last week.

What i think it could be:
1) Fuel injector clips holding the injectors to the fuel line... one or two got snapped in the intake gasket replacement last week.

2) Was driving without a filter for about 6 days thanks to ford and me being an idiot... could it be the MAF is dirty?

3) I've heard a theory from somebody that it could be failing pre-cats? I havent looked into that yet at all.

4) Idle speed control - havent looked into that too much yet, but it sounds like that fits my problem.

What do you guys think? I have plans today to replace the fuel injector clips and clean the MAF, and hopefully replace the PCV. . but if those dont fix the problem, i am completely stumped. CEG'R in need.

Definatly clean you're maf, if you were without a filter for 6 days there is a high chance of it being somewhat dirty. I also can suggest you clean you're IAC valve. Doesnt cost anything and only takes about 30 minutes of you're time. Once completed with both of these tasks, reset thwe computer, start, then let idle in driveway for about 5 to 10 minutes while the computer relearns everything again.
