A lot of the lock companies took back old locks back and replaced them for free or a discounted price. I used to work in the bicycle industry, and one of the products we sold was the OnGuard brand of locks. Luckily (for me- as I would have taken ALL the complaints) they were not effected, as they had already made the switch to the right kind of key. Buy Kryptonite and others were largely effected.
