If they're actually terrorists, let's put them through to a trial and get their status official, instead of this limbo land they're in now.
How precisely do you suggest we treat them? Do we give them the criminal treatment, or do we give them the Geneva Convention treatment? Neither one really applies to the Gitmo detainees. Most weren't taken prisoner on US soil, but instead were captured by US military forces in Afghanistan and Iraq. But they're not members of any nation's standing army, so the Geneva Convention, which is a set of rules for militaries in wartime scenarios, has no bearing on their situation.
