The masses are getting more and more uneducated, getting news from sensationalist and bias sources, young people care more about Paris Hilton's clothes than current events, and everybody wants cheaper gas and cheaper living yet they don't want to see or hear or know of the dirty work that's being done to facilitate it, much less the consequences of such actions.

if you shoot me in the leg i do not need a court of law to officially tell me you shot me in the leg. it is not like joe muslum was walking down the street one day on his way to services at his local mosque of choice all the while minding his own business when some evil men threw him into the back of a black van, wisked him half around the world and randomly accused him of terrorist acts against the u.s. when he infact had nothing to do with anything. if in fact he had nothing to do with anything then he wouldn't be in guantanamo. if by some accident he happens to actually really be innocent then he will be released. accidents happen you know. and no, the vast majority of people there are not innocent or mistreated despite what some ignorant congressman might tell you, i.e. the pol pot/hilter comment.
