Oooookay. I stopped liking Green Day since Dookie. I think Michael Moore is a lieing hack since Roger & Me. Don't really know who Dennis Kusinsomething is.

Dennis Kucinich is one of the key supporters of your position, that the US is a terrist state reigning down death, doom, and destruction upon unsuspecting saints throughout the world, and deserving to have terrorist attacks wreaked upon her. If I may butt in here, I'd say it's not so much western society that has a problem with it, it's more a cold hard fact of the radical Islam propaganda machine. Justified or not, the extremists compare Gitmo to Abu Ghraib, and use it as evidence that the US's claims to morality are hypocritical.
Also, I wouldn't say it's strictly a problem with the "enlightened" folks... when others stop bringing up Ted Kennedy and/or Lewinskygate anytime a Bush action is mentioned, I'll be a little more sympathetic to that argument.
