The big hope for the new miata was that it would win the C Stock AutoX class that currently being dominated by the 99 Sport edition miata. In Stock class you can not install coilovers or springs to fix the handling problems that are there with the new miata. I know of one top level driver who is working on prepping one for C Stock but he has been having issues getting it to work the way he wants it to because of how softly it is sprung.

I was disapointed with the way it drove compaired to my 1990 miata.
