Id love to hit 12s, but i certainly dont see that happening without drag radials, which I dont have. Of course, even if I did have some, I'll probably break my unrevised DSS stage 2 axles that are just as weak as the stage 1.
Who knows though. Maybe once I get my apexi avcr worked out and hopefully have 400 whp by SZ, it might be possible.

And who does your money ride on? Stazi? Jim? JD's dad? Rick(if he can make it), Me(if I have juice)? All are capable cars, I just want to see who people think will do it first.

I don't know if stazi can put it down,I know he's got the power. My best bet would be on beyondloadedse, assuming he gets his tuning out of the way.
Tell me why his car cannot do it!? What are u basing your assumptions on?
Sorry,I should have backed that up.From the pictures I've seen of stazi's car I haven't seen aggressive susp.,or tires I obviously don't know what he has planed though.I apologize for any confusion.

Ground Controls & Koni suspension, with I believe polyurethane roll restrictors. (Aussie bar obviously, but has nothing to do with launching) Most of it has to do with experience. I've had my car on the dragstrip probably 8-10 times, with probably 30+ passes. That's not a lot of experience, but is more than the average Contour owner. I've also had the car since new, and have launched it hard 100's of times. I think I could pull a 2.0 or even 1.9 60' with some DR's, but I like to run at the track, exactly what I run on the street.
All this talk of a 12 second Contour is making me want to keep the bottle for Spring Zing!

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Ray's car(warmonger's old car). It definitely has the power and slicks should help put it down. Will it be at SZ06?

It won't be at SZ, no...
The rather involved plans to acheive 12.9x is in the works, now. I'll be working at that progressively from now until I get it. First step is getting a little track time behind the wheel of this one.. Its a new beast to conquer/learn. Then comes the add-ons to get there.

I'm watching you like a hawk on this for sure! I want to see how well the gear learning of the AVCR actually does, or the other modes. Please keep us posted when you do get some good time in with it

If Stazi is in the mood for breaking axles he has some nasty slicks in his garage. I still think people who have put so much money into their cars are forgetting some of the hooking fundamentals.
