We aren't jelous...who cares that the car is super duper fast?!?! I drive over 120 miles a day, gee which car would be more comfortable...my nice soft leather seats that wrap around me and a suspension that acutally absorbs SOME of the bumps in the road or a car that doesn't? If I wanted a really fast for a cheaper price I would buy one, but from what I experienced I wouldn't ever touch one again. And I know for a fact it wasn't the turbo that was making the sounds....I have driven turboed cars before and I know what they sound like. Much rather get a turboed car with AWD like a DSM, WRX, or EVO instead of an SRT4. Sure they aren't as fast but they are built better, look better, and have AWD. And there is a reason why those cars brand new are more then a SRT....quality.

Hmmmm. I say screw the SRT and the Mustang and go by a one or two year old 350Z Track...
And a heapload of mods...
Much nicer car than either of the aforementioned.
Or, you could always get a used BMW. There are many many good choices in the 20-30K range for you to choose from.

Out of those two I would probably pick the Mustang. Having said that in that price range I personally wouldn't buy either. IMO, there a lot of GREAT barely used cars out there that are a lot better/nicer for the money.

Yea i see alot of decent used cars out there , but the only problem is , is that they can run fine right now , look nice and all , but theres no way of telling how bad they have been beat on . and im looking for a new one so i can break it in nice myself and know the condition of that car, i know there are some nice cars but its hard to trust some one saying that " they have never beat it at all" id rather just get a new one. and not have to deal with rebuilding a motor, i have looked into a 350z i really like the car also but then the situation comes up of giving my money over seas which isnt a good thing to do in these times with ford, gm and chrysler not doing so hott. but i have test drives today so ill let you guys know my decision today .... hopefully

The "buy american" thing makes no difference to me personally, I buy what I want. The 350Z is a nice ride IMHO, and with the new rev-up motor with stronger pistons/rods it will easily take 400+whp reliably. The VQ35DE motor is a great mod motor for boost, there are quite a few 600+rwhp ST/TT 350Z's running around with built internals, and MANY 400+rwhp ST/TT 350Z's with stock internals. 350Z mods aren't cheap though, especially the FI kits.

Ditto, have the "American" cars are built outside of the US anyway and a lot of "Foreign" models are built in the US so whats the difference.

that may be, but you have to understand that this is the metro detroit area. and our economy lives and dies by the auto manufacturers. i parked my wifes celica (when she had it) in a neighbors driveway once(and he is a union stalwart) , and he nearly had it towed.
