I agree that it looks and sounds better too. In fact, that is one thing that I do like about the mustangs is the exhaust note.
But based on what was posted, it seems like the SRT-4 is a better bang for the buck for him, especially if any snow driving is involved.

well sure, anything with a low base price that is already boosted would be cheaper, how about the challange of making power?
and who the hell buys a Mustang GT then drives it in the winter, thats a to me

Bone stock LS1 running 12's, LOL!!!!!!!! Most struggle to run mid 13's, and I've seen one stock SS run a 13.3. I'd love to see these miracle 12 second LS1's you speak of. LS1 fairyland is ----> that way!

for $25k you can pick up an 03-04 cobra which comes 390hp w/ stock s/c under factory warranty. not to mention IRS and some other goodies.
hell, even an older cobra beats an ordinary mustang hands down.
edit: forgot LSD standard in cobra, not mustang gt

If your looking for something fast and want a powerful FI engine, why would you bother with a FWD, 4-door economy-car chassis? Get the new mustang GT and don't look back.

Well my friend in his 2000 Z28 was running 13.3 on street tires with 2.2xx 60 foot times. (Bone stock down to the paper air filter) Let me see if I can find a 12 second time slip for ya.

I may be in the minority but I cant see much better of a deal than an SRT4 for the money. The reality of it is, both are great vehicles with a lot of potential, however the one fits your needs is the better choice.
