I drove down to MB in 2000 right after graduating from college.
we got there right after BBW and the carnage was still visible!
Had a good time though.
did the Nascar Cafe, one of the Gator parks, went to the boardwalk place (i think it was called Barefoot or something)
i recommend Crocodile Rocks, its a deuling piano bar, was a great time.
lots to do even if you dont want to party hard.
