I went off on another tangent about the other 3 guys, just because it had a little bit to do with this. Just used them as an example, because I just can't stand them when I see them in games, and on ESPN.
No biggie, like who you want.

It's not like he's running out into every camera saying "I get drunk all the time! WOO!"
Have any of you read the interview with him last month in Maxim? He stated the same thing as he did in 60 minutes.
He simply stated that he's not the boy scout that a lot of people are. He doesn't get drunk before every race. He's stated that there are times he's partied so hard the night before a competition that he's still drunk on the slopes and has WON like that. It's not that he's ALWAYS drinking before a race.
A perfect example of something being completely blown out of proportion.

I totally agree. I have raced the same way...and other times I haven't had a DROP the night before. This past weekend I raced modified GS on saturday morning @ 930am. I was still drunk when I woke up to go register and get my bib at 8am. By the time of the race I was feeling A LOT better, but still not that great. I missed 3rd place by 3/100ths of a second. That is a combined time over 2 runs. Saturday night I didn't drink AT ALL...I was in my hotel room studying all night. Sundays race I had a fall which basically counted me out...I think it was just too much pressure and nerves. My next run I ran the 4th fastest run of the day... In MI we have the beer leagues...which to be honest I don't know a ton about...it's basically anyone 21+ that wants to race...idk if they drink right up to the race, but eh...sharky could chime in on this one...he's in the beer leagues in Grand Rapids...I think cannonsburg
