Its Ski racing it always has been like that.
The best slalom racer ever Alberto Tomba would be freakin lit racing. Ski Racing OWNS and drinking is a major part of the sport like it or not

Word. I've known many people at the professional level who drink/party before a race or game. Hell, we did it back when I rowed... and were were third... on the continent. 
All I know is that everyone is different, and some people can/need to party before a big event to loosen up. While I don't think he always makes the smartest comments, he's one of the top skiiers in the world, and knows what works for him.

I always drink before I race. I've been 3rd/4th in the state all season.  You have to be a lil drunk to speed down a sheet of ice at 120kph

Bode can eat it for all I care. For someone who claims to be against all the hype and publicity he did a pretty good job selling out to Nike. I think his attitude stinks and he doesn't deserve to be out there with those other athletes.

I Used to drink before everyrace in HS. and like crazy after every race.
when you fall doing 60mph+ and your sober it gets old fast
