That sounds like the dude I gave a ride to this morning...
I showed him my alignment was way off. He proceeds to tell me "Yep, your steering column is bad."
I was like "I'm just going to get it aligned and hopefully there isn't anything bent, since I already changed the control arm."
He says "If it doesn't work, you'll have to change the column, which will suck since you'll have to get new control arms too. So pretty much you already wasted your time."
Oh, he also thinks I should leave the trim white on the inside of the car. Apparantly I need to get big chrome rims too
Umm... yeah... heh!
